Empire Me is a creative documentary by Director Paul Poet. On the verge of globalisation, hundreds of do-it-yourself states create their own little world. Micronations, eco-villages and secessionists create alternative ways of living together. A road movie on land, at sea, and in the mind.

19:00 – 20:45 Music: Mr. Ultrafino & Drinks & Food for sale

Mr.Ultrafino. DJ, musician, and vinyl collector who co-created Prague jazz/funk DJ scene. Exclusively for Floating Cinema, Mr. Ultrafino will spin the rarest and funkiest gems of his treasured Czech jazz vinyl collection, along with other funk, soul and Latin treats.

About Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival
Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival is the largest festival of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, taking place annually at the end of October in the city of Jihlava, Czech Republic. The festival’s original programming focuses on various forms of creative documentaries, overlapping with fiction and experimental films, as well as miscellaneous forms of reality television formats. Jihlava IDFF is accompanied by a rich Industry Programme for film professionals, including Inspiration Forum, Emerging Producers, Festival Identity workshops, East Silver Market, Masterclasses and other industry events. The range of festival guests is therefore very diverse. Apart from filmmakers and film professionals it includes a broad spectrum of personalities ranging from artistic to scientific fields.

Production of Janáček’s 20th century masterpiece The Cunning Little Vixen this summer at Garsington Opera on the Wormsley Estate (Buckinghamshire) – performing it in the original Czech.

 Garsington Opera gives performances of the highest artistic quality in a setting of extraordinary natural beauty on the Wormsley Estate, in the Chiltern Hills, just outside London. Three operas are presented each year, during June and July, in our award-winning Opera Pavilion. For our 25th anniversary this season we present Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, Beethoven’s Fidelio and the British premiere of Offenbach’s Vert-Vert.
